What is the HTTP / 2 protocol and how it works

Many of us sometimes complain that some of the pages that will not load entering so quickly into thinking that suddenly is the Internet, but not always so. For this reason and others, in this post I want to talk about HTTP / 2 protocol that is already implemented in some places, but that will soon be running on all Internet.

For people who do not know what is a protocol? I tell them that is a set of gunwales that allow two computers or other technological tools to communicate with each other. There will also be people who are wondering what is HTTP? , Because this is just a protocol that allowsaccess to the content of the pages you visit.

The importance of HTTP / 2

There are people who least expect 2 to 3 seconds for a page to load, otherwise if it takes more than that, we'd go to another website. So HTTP1 improving HTTP / 2. This second version will allow us toimprove communication and speed with which load a web page .

As previously mentioned HTTP / 2 will allow us to load more quickly and fluidly a website , a blog or any other site that is on the Internet. This is of great benefit to many people who work with these applications and also for that every day they spend in this virtual world.

One of the importances of HTTP / 2 is the use of compression that prevents sending data simply repeated during the connection, so send less data in total. It is also important to mention that in HTTP / 2 , theinformation is sent in binary which is the language of the machine, and not text, making the machine understands much better, this can translate less and work faster.

Another improvement that come in HTTP / 2 is the use of multiplexing : this is a technology that allows us to send and receive multiple messages simultaneously, thus optimizing communication. Finally also it consists of a technology called server push, which allows the server to send information to the user before the request . Allowing improve the speed at which the page loads.

There are some browsers already implement this new technology, and Internet Explorer uses HTTP / 2 in the Technical Preview of Windows 10 . Like Firefox Beta 36 and includes support for the new protocol and Chrome too, but is off. For activation you can see the video below.
